About this track:

Erica Rose was the daughter of a friend of mine. I came home from work one day in August 2013, and was told she had been murdered by her husband. Erica Rose was a married women when I became friends with her mother, so I only came to know her through pictures, eulogies, and conversations with her friends and relatives at her memorial. I had lost my first son due to domestic violence. Images of his infant sized casket haunted me when I gazed upon Erica Rose laying in state while those around her mourned the loss of this beautiful loving young women. This song is for Erica Rose and all victims of domestic violence.
